Flights between Egypt, Belgium resume | | Flights between Egypt and Belgium resumed Saturday after a 19-day suspension following a series of terrorist attacks that targeted Brussels on March 22.
Flight #MS725 took off from Cairo International Airport to Brussels International Airport Saturday carrying 120 passengers onboard, EgyptAir announced in a statement. The company operated four inbound and outbound flights per week between both countries.
The Brussels Airport and metro station were targeted by four explosions, killing 34 people (20 at metro station, and 14 in the airport), Reuters reported; all flights to Brussels were canceled and metro movements were suspended.
