Russian forum between Moscow, Cairo, Alexandria, Hurghada held online for first time | | In a new tradition, the Russian Cultural Centre in Cairo, headed by Alexey Tevanyan, organised an online celebration of the International Youth Forum within the framework of the "Building Bridges of Communication" project that aims to introduce Russian customs and traditions to the world, shedding light on Russian culture.
The online meeting took place between the cities of Moscow, Cairo, Alexandria and Hurghada, with the participation of Egyptian students studying the Russian language, members of the Russian community in Egypt, and graduates of Russian universities, where attendees participated in presenting Russian cuisine.
Participants from Moscow introduced the Russian traditions of folk cuisine, detailing how to cook popular Russian recipes and preparing juices and desserts.
Chess was also of particular interest to forum participants, as guests heard a story about the origin of the ancient Russian game and its rules. Later, players competed with each other. Participants also attended a lecture on the traditions of Russian hospitality.
The celebration included a lecture by well-known Russian fashion designer and recipient of the State Prize in Russia Igor Chapurin, who talked about the history and diversity of Russian folk costumes in Russia's different regions.
