Egypt is the second most important route in the world for migratory birds, as it is the bridge that connects the continents of the ancient world, and the Red Sea Governorate is one of the governorates it crosses during of his trip.
Therefore, the Environmental Affairs Agency, under the patronage of General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, closed the windmills to protect migratory birds, in accordance with international treaties, in order to preserve flocks of birds for end their life.
In August of each year, the storks prepare their great departure for the South.
